Classic Chicken Caesar Salad with Homemade Dressing
This classic Chicken Caesar Salad is fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. Crispy croutons, juicy chicken, crunchy lettuce, and a rich homemade dressing make it a timeless favorite.
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 400 g iceberg lettuce (or any leafy lettuce)
- 280 g chicken breast (or turkey breast)
- 10 cherry tomatoes (or regular tomatoes)
- 220 g white bread (for croutons)
- 80 g Parmesan cheese (or other hard cheese)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
For the Caesar Dressing
- 60 ml olive oil
- 20 g Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cut the bread into cubes. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, add garlic, and fry the bread until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and cook in a pan until fully cooked. Let cool slightly, then slice.
- Wash and dry the lettuce, then tear into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
- To make the dressing, blend the egg, olive oil, mustard, garlic, Parmesan, sugar, and salt until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, and croutons.
- Add the dressing, toss gently, and finish with grated Parmesan on top.
