Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 5 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • 60 g butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt, and gently whisk until combined. Do not overbeat.
  3. Add the milk and mix lightly.
  4. Grease a baking dish with half of the butter.
  5. Pour the egg and milk mixture into the prepared dish.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, until set and fluffy.
  7. Remove the omelet from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining butter.
  8. Let the omelet cool slightly, then cut into portions and serve.

Tips for a Fluffy Omelet

  1. Use room-temperature eggs and milk for best results.
  2. Do not open the oven while baking - the omelet may collapse.
  3. A ceramic or glass baking dish works best.
